The initial reason I decided to throw myself at livejournal was my obsession with Draco Malfoy - and my love and adoration for him is still going strong. The Harry Potter fandom is the highlight of my many a late night staying up and studying my arse off (or getting completely distracted, they really come side by side).

A little about myself? My real name is Laura. I love Malteasers, chinese food and cloudy lemonade. I'm known for being fiercly loyal to my friends, but not in that horribly protective mean kind of way!

I'm in my first year of reading Law at University.

I initially began as a Lord of the Rings fan, like many HP fans on here. LOTR introduced me to the wonder and brilliance of fan fiction, which fuelled my love for Aragorn even more. But since then, I've moved firmly onto Harry Potter, and quite possibly love it ten times more than anything else that has ever occupied my obsessions. Out of HP, I'm a Draco fanatic. And most definitely, down to the last bone, a Draco/Hermione shipper. ♥

I began writing Water in October 2005, and only ever intended it to be for myself. Once I'd completed three chapters, I thought what the hell, and posted it on a whim at Adultfanfiction.net, and I definitely don't regret it.

Despite countless loss of sleep, nervous little twitches before posting new chapters, and severe distractions from my studying- I love writing the story. And I owe that to the readers and the feedback they've provided. It's built up my confidence so much, and helped my writing improve further.

There are some brilliant D/Hr stories out there. And some equally as wonderful authors. I try to recommend fics as often as possible, so if you get the chance, check out the recommendations in my memories. Although I haven't got nearly enough compared to what is out there.

Unfortunately, writing the story has left me with much less time to read fan fiction. I can't wait till I can get the time back again- there's so much that I need to catch up on!

This journal is semi-locked. All the entries concerning fiction, writing and Water are public, but I also post more personal entries and so on that can only be viewed by those on my flist.

Please just comment here on my journal if you wish to friend me. Obviously it would be better if we share a few of the same interests. I can't handle lots of people on my flist (because I'm sad like that), so if and when I burst into friend-cutting mode- please don't be offended- there are just often people who I never speak to on here, and I doubt they're interested in my personal life either.
